About “RJ Medical Specialist Link Uganda”.
RJ Medical Specialist Link Uganda and its affiliates (“RJ Medical Specialist Link Uganda”) hereby also referred to as Medical Specialist Link Uganda, operates this website, (the “Site”) and the services related to or offered on the Site (hereinafter, the “Services”). MEDICAL SPECIALIST LINK UGANDA is an online application (APP) that links clients/patients to specialized medical practitioners. The idea is to improve quality of care to clients/patients who can afford to pay for their medical consultations by directly linking them to the right person with the right knowledge for the right medical condition.
This platform will only link patients to Medical Specialists and not general practitioners given its intention to provide the best for those who need and can afford better quality care by a doctor trained in the field of their medical condition. A specialist who signs up to this platform will be expected to regularly checks his/her dashboard to confirm appointments suggested by clients/patients. Given that one specialist may need to attend to many clients including those at the regular workplace, the specialist can reschedule appointments requested on his dashboard as appropriate and informs the patient/client accordingly. In such a circumstance, the doctor discusses such adjustments with the patient/client to agree a common convenient time.
Consultations will be either PHYSICAL OR VIRTUAL (VIDEO) as the patient/client may chose.
Clients/patients who meet the specialist through this APP is expected to have same financial terms as any other client/patient who privately gets care of the specialist.
Emergency services are not expected since specialists are usually too busy to attend to the demands of emergency care through this kind of arrangement.
Verification of the qualification/areas of expertise stated by the specialist will be independently done by MSL-UG for the safety of the clients/patients before approval of the specialist’s account.
The patient/client will pay for PHYSICAL consultation directly to the specialist or to the cashier of the institution where the consultation is physically conducted and this will be as directed by the specialist. VIRTUAL consultation will however be paid to MSL-UG through the APP and the money is sent to the specialist via mobile money or bank account on a weekly basis. Consultation fee will be stated by the specialist on his/her APP account and is expected to be the usual amount charged by that specialist to any other private patient.
The APP is not responsible for misconducts/unprofessionalism mated unto the patient/client by professional medical personnel during their consultations as this will be handled by the mainstream respective professional bodies according to the existing laws of Uganda.
