RJ Medical Specialist Link Uganda and its affiliates (“RJ Medical Specialist Link Uganda”) hereby also referred to as Medical Specialist Link Uganda, operates this website, (the “Site”) and the services related to or offered on the Site (hereinafter, the “Services”). Medical Specialist Link Uganda’s Services may include, without limitation, provision of content, software tools, applications, bulletin and message boards, chat areas, forums, and/or community-based functionalities. This Privacy Policy covers the information we collect about you when you use our Services, or otherwise interact with Medical Specialist Link Uganda. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, do not access or use our Services or interact with any other aspect of our business.

  1. Information Collected by Medical Specialist Link Uganda.

  • Registering/Signing Up for the Services: In connection with your registration to use the Services you may provide and we may collect your name, email address, physical address,
  • Use of the Services: When you engage in connection with our Services, you may be asked to enter information about yourself in order for us or our Services to respond to you or to complete the action(s) requested by you. For example, when you enter information about conditions and/or diagnoses, we may collect information regarding you, your symptoms and/or other personal information which we believe necessary or desirable for us to deliver the Services to you. In addition, we may collect information about you in connection with promotions and events that are offered by us or by our partners and affiliates.
  • Emails and Use of Websites which Deliver the Services: We may store details of your visits to our websites (such as pages visited, browser details and/or your IP address) and your interactions with or Services and/or any emails that we send to you. This information may include IP addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, the files viewed on our site (e.g., HTML pages, graphics, etc.), operating system, date/time stamp, and/or clickstream data to analyze trends in the aggregate and administer the site.
  • Device Information: We may collect information from or about the devices that you use to install or access our Services, depending on the permissions you’ve granted. We may associate the information we collect from your different devices, which helps us to provide consistent Services across your devices.
  • Third Party Collection: Some information you provide through the Services might be collected and processed by third parties on our behalf. For example, if you order products or services through the Services, we or third parties may need to collect your credit or debit card information.
  • Cookies, web beacons, and other tracking technologies. We and our partners may use various technologies to collect information from you automatically when you access and use the Services, including cookies, web beacons and other similar technologies.   • Social networks. If you use social networking connection functions offered through the Services, we may access all of your social network profile information that you have made available to be shared and to use it in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
  • Right to Delete. If a user deletes their account all information relating to that user will be removed, unless specific information is required by the “Security and Retention of Information” clause outlined in this policy. To delete your account go to your profile pageand press “Delete Account”.

Medical Specialist Link Uganda may use the information we collect about and from you:

  1. How and When Medical Specialist Link Uganda May Share or Disclose Your Information

Medical Specialist Link Uganda may share your information with third parties in the following circumstances:

  • Affiliates. We may share information within our company and among our various businesses and affiliated companies, including, for example, to provide you with Service improvements.
  • Third parties. We have agreements with third parties, including marketers, advertisers and other health service providers. With appropriate consent when required, we may share your Personal Information with third party marketing partners, and they may contact you by email, telephone, postal mail or other common communication methods with marketing and promotional messages about their products or services. Sometimes we will give you the option to receive further communications from one of our advertising partners. When you provide consent to receive communications from that third-party advertiser, your personal information will be managed by that third party’s own privacy policy.
  • Service Providers. We rely on third-party service providers to perform a variety of contractual services on our behalf. To do so, we may need to share your information with them. For example, we may rely on service providers to fulfill requests, process your credit card and other payments, answer your questions, send e-mails on our behalf, and analyze data to improve our products and services.
  • Other Parties When Required by Law or as Necessary to Protect Medical Specialist Link Uganda.There may be instances when we disclose your information to other parties:
    • To comply with the law or respond to legal process or a request for cooperation by a government entity.
    • To prevent fraud or verify and enforce compliance with the policies governing our Services.

  1. Right to Opt-Out

You may opt-out:

  • From all future use and disclosure of Your Personal Information for direct marketing purposes by requesting the removal of Your Personal Information from Medical Specialist Link Uganda’s database by submitting a request through our Feedback page; or
  • From receiving future marketing-related e-mails from Medical Specialist Link Uganda by clicking on the “opt-out” link in any e-mail sent to You by Medical Specialist Link Uganda.

Please note that if You opt-out as described above, Medical Specialist Link Uganda will not be able to remove Your Personal Information from the databases of Our affiliates or unaffiliated third parties with whom We have already shared Your Personal Information as of the date of your opt-out request. Please also note that if you do opt-out of receiving marketing- related messages from Us, Medical Specialist Link Uganda may still send administrative messages to You.

Once you have submitted an opt-out request, we will not ask you to reauthorize the sale of your Personal Data for at least 12 months. However, you may change your mind and opt back in to Personal Data sales at any time by creating a new profile for yourself.

When disclosing any Personal Information, you should remain mindful of the fact that it is potentially accessible to the public, and consequently, can be collected and used by others without Your consent. Accordingly, You should consider carefully if You want to submit sensitive information that You would not want disclosed to the public and should recognize that Your use of the Internet and this Site is solely at Your risk. You, alone, are ultimately responsible for maintaining the secrecy for all Your Personal Information. Medical Specialist Link Uganda has no responsibility or liability to anyone for the security of Your Personal Information transmitted via the Internet. Medical Specialist Link Uganda urges all of its users to be careful and responsible whenever they are on-line.

If You have any reason to believe that Your interaction with Medical Specialist Link Uganda through this Site is no longer secure, please immediately notify Us of this problem through the Feedback feature of this Site.

Deletion

You have the right to request that we delete the Personal Data that we have collected from you. Under the CCPA, this right is subject to certain exceptions: for example, we may need to retain your Personal Data to provide you with the Service or complete a transaction or other action you have requested. If your deletion request is subject to one of these exceptions, we may deny your deletion request.

Opt-Out of Sale of Personal Data

As described above, you have the right to opt-out of the sale of your Personal Data.

Exercising Your Rights

To exercise the rights described above, you must send us a request that (1) provides sufficient information to allow us to verify that you are the person about whom we have collected Personal Data, and (2) describes your request in sufficient detail to allow us to understand, evaluate, and respond to it. Each request that meets both of these criteria will be considered a “Valid Request.” We may not respond to requests that do not meet these criteria. We will work to respond to your Valid Request within 45 days of receipt. We will not charge you a fee for making a Valid Request unless your Valid Request(s) is excessive, repetitive, or manifestly unfounded. We Will Not Discriminate Against You for Exercising Your Rights Under the CCPA

We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights under the CCPA. We will not deny you our goods or services, charge you different prices or rates, or provide you a lower quality of goods and services if you exercise your rights under the CCPA. However, we may have different tiers of services as allowed by applicable data protection laws (including the CCPA) with varying prices, rates, or levels of quality of the goods or services you receive related to the value of Personal Data that we receive from you.

How Long Do We Retain Your Personal Data?

We retain Personal Data about you for as long as you have an open account with us or as otherwise necessary to provide you with the Service. In some cases, we retain Personal Data for longer if doing so is necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes or collect fees owed, or is otherwise permitted or required by applicable law, rule or regulation. Afterwards, we retain some information in a depersonalized or aggregated form but not in a way that would identify you personally.

What Rights Do You Have Regarding Your Personal Data?

You have certain rights with respect to your Personal Data, including those set forth below. For more information about these rights, or to submit a request, please email info@msl.ug. Please note that in some circumstances, we may not be able to fully comply with your request, such as if it is frivolous or extremely impractical, if it jeopardizes the rights of others, or if it is not required by law, but in those circumstances, we will still respond to notify you of such a decision. In some cases, we may also need you to provide us with additional information, which may include Personal Data, if necessary to verify your identity and the nature of your request.

Access: You can request more information about the Personal Data we hold about you and request a copy of such Personal Data by emailing info@msl.ug.

Rectification: If you believe that any Personal Data we are holding about you is incorrect or incomplete, you can request that we correct or supplement such data. You can also correct some of this information directly by emailing info@msl.ug.

  • Erasure: You can request that we erase some or all of your Personal Data from our systems.
  • Withdrawal of Consent: If we are processing your Personal Data based on your consent (as indicated at the time of collection of such data), you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. Please note, however, that if you exercise this right, you may have to then provide express consent on a case-by-case basis for the use or disclosure of certain of your Personal Data, if such use or disclosure is necessary to enable you to utilize some or all of our Service.
  • Portability: You can ask for a copy of your Personal Data in a machine-readable format. You can also request that we transmit the data to another controller where technically feasible.
  • Objection: You can contact us to let us know that you object to the further use or disclosure of your Personal Data for certain purposes, such as for direct marketing purposes.
  • Restriction of Processing: You can ask us to restrict further processing of your Personal Data.
  • Right to File Complaint: You have the right to lodge a complaint about Medical Specialist Link Uganda’s practices with respect to your Personal Data with the supervisory authority Uganda.

Transfers of Personal Data: The Service is hosted and operated in Uganda through Medical Specialist Link Uganda and its service providers. If you do not reside in Uganda, laws in Uganda may differ from the laws where you reside. By using the Service, you acknowledge that any Personal Data about you, regardless of whether provided by you or obtained from a third party, is being provided to Medical Specialist Link Uganda in Uganda. and will be hosted on Uganda servers, and you authorize Medical Specialist Link Uganda to transfer, store and process your information to and in Uganda and possibly other countries. You hereby consent to the transfer of your data to Uganda.
